For the last 2 years we were yielding on a manual basis (using Excel). It was quite a lot of work every day and every week and our reactions were often too slow. With RoomPriceGenie it’s automatic and reacts much faster on the short selling cycle, which became even much shorter during COVID19.
How did I come across RoomPriceGenie?
I am president of Booking Valais and hotelleriesuisse Valais, where we offer a (nearly) free Channel Manager to all hotels in our canton. We were looking to integrate a yielding tool for our hotels. So we got in contact with RoomPriceGenie and are now happy, that our members have more possibilities at a good price.

What do we do better with RoomPriceGenie than before?
The prices change quicker and in slower steps and also the market is taken in account.
What I also really like is that the different room types can change the prices according to the occupation of similar room types and not only looking at the occupancy of the whole hotel.
What are the financial results?
It’s too early to share figures, especially as in these times of Corona everything changes. But in any case the average prices seem at the moment not to be lower.
How confident am I with the pricing?
Pricing in the hotel business always contains a bit of Voodoo. But I feel much better about pricing, as I can combine both my feelings and experience with the knowledge from RoomPriceGenie, to find the best price. And I always have the option to influence the process, if I don’t ‘agree’ with the decision, RoomPriceGenie has made.
