What can I expect from a RoomPriceGenie subscription?
Getting a revenue management system is a big leap into the unknown for a lot of people, and we thought it was important that you know what to expect when you sign up.
First, what we will promise to you whatever plan you are on. We see the process as a collaboration. We promise to treat you with respect as a client and a person, and likewise expect the same in return. We have been very lucky so far that all our clients are just really great people, so it has never been an issue.
We also don’t consider we’ve done a good job unless you get big benefits in both time saved and revenue. If, at any point, you feel that you are not receiving in benefits at least ten times what you pay us, please speak to us.
We are not a full service consultant whom you can call every day to discuss strategy. These are very expensive. But we do want to make sure that we are there for you when you need us. The different packages have different levels of service, but whichever you choose involves all of the necessary help to use the product – both in person over the phone, chat or email, and through our walk-throughs and help-center.
As far as we know, we have never let a client down when it comes to important customer service.
If you would like further revenue management consulting, we can also provide this but there is a supplementary fee.
What can I expect from the GenieIntelligence package?
GenieIntelligence is largely a self-service product. You can sign up online and set yourself up in 2 minutes. We will check the account and then start the emails. If you use the recommendations in the emails (also adding your own experience to the decisions where you have extra knowledge), you should notice a clear increase in revenue. And the time it takes should be around 5 minutes per day to fix a few prices.
GenieIntelligence looks 3 months ahead, and gives you only the biggest action points that will make the most difference to your revenue. By doing this you get a lot of the benefit of a revenue management system, without the cost or complexity.
GenieIntelligence has no official setup call, but we may call you anyway, to see if we can help with anything.
If you feel that the setup of the pricing is wrong, we would be delighted to have an appointment to fix it. However, a more complicated strategy can’t be accommodated in the email product as it requires you to have access to the main user interface. When you get more into the pricing, you may wish to upgrade.
What can I expect from the Basic package?
The basic package usually involves integration with your PMS or channel manager. It is similar to the GenieIntelligence package, in that it does pricing for the next 3 months. There are three main differences in your experience though.
First, you will have access to the user interface, meaning you can adapt your strategy yourself. We will give full training on how this works, so you will fully understand all of this.
Second, the price recommendations can be either manually updated into your PMS/Channel manager at the click of a button, or automatically updated using our Auto Pilot feature.
Third, we will provide you with more support in setting up your strategy and in getting the recommendations just right for you.
For Basic package we usually have a couple of set-up calls with the revenue manager to make sure that your strategy is in line with where you want it to be. We also make sure that you understand how you can change the things that you may need to change. The functionality on Basic is more limited, meaning that there are only a few things to learn. If you are unsure, we have a good Help-Center and product-walkthroughs, but if you are still stuck, we are also happy to help in person if you contact us through the chat.
In general, we will make sure that you are aware of all the basics and features that are appropriate to you so the day-to-day management should be straightforward and easily understandable, as well as giving you a basic revenue management strategy if you need one. We then have inbuilt checks to warn you if you are doing anything unusual.
What can I expect from the Flexible package?
The Flexible is the most popular package we have. It gives a full year of pricing and a lot of control of various aspects of the strategy. For example, rooms can bepriced individually.
With more power comes more responsibility and that means we need to give more support. We are there for you to guide you through the different revenue-management strategies and help you use them well.
For the Flexible package we usually have a couple of set-up calls with the revenue manager to make sure that your strategy is in line with where you want it to be. We also make sure that you understand how you can change the things that you may need to change. If you are unsure, we have a good Help Center and walkthroughs, but if you are still stuck, we are also happy to help in person if you contact us through the chat.
We will make sure that you are aware of all the basics and features that are appropriate to you so the day-to-day management should be straightforward and easily understandable. We then have inbuilt checks to warn you if you are doing anything unusual. And we will have annual strategy reviews for revenue management advice.
