Cut Off Date

Definición

The Cut-Off Date is the pre-agreed deadline by which any unsold rooms in a contracted block (e.g. group or corporate booking) are released back into the hotel’s general inventory. After this date, the hotel is no longer obligated to hold the reserved block of rooms at the negotiated rate.

Cómo utilizarlo

Revenue managers and sales teams use Cut-Off Dates to balance the risk of holding inventory for group bookings while maximizing availability for higher-paying guests. This term is commonly included in group contracts to: Set expectations with clients, protect the hotel from last-minute unsold inventory and allow time to resell unused rooms at market rate.
