Maximum Length of Stay

Definitie

Maximum Length of Stay is a stay restriction that limits the maximum number of consecutive nights a guest can book for a specific arrival date. Reservations exceeding this limit are not accepted. This control is used to prevent long stays from displacing higher-yield, shorter-stay guests during periods of high demand.

Hoe te gebruiken

Revenue managers use the maximum length of stay restriction to prevent long-term bookings that could block higher-paying short stays during high-demand periods, allowing the hotel to optimize revenue per available room.

Formule

While not a mathematical formula, the rule is applied as: Reservation Accepted if: Length of Stay ≤ Max LOS
