Hotel Daniya Dènia, a four-star hotel just 300 metres from the beach in Dénia, Spain, offers 122 rooms, a full-service spa, and expansive event spaces. Under the leadership of General Manager Carlos Buedo since 2021, the hotel has transitioned into a year-round operation with a strong focus on optimizing revenue and improving off-season profitability.

The Challenge

When Carlos joined, the hotel operated with a fully manual revenue management process. "I was spending at least an hour a day reviewing and adjusting prices for the entire year," he recalls. "Even on weekends or days off, I was checking bookings two to three times a day."

Without a dedicated revenue manager, Carlos bore full responsibility for pricing strategy: reviewing daily pickups, updating the channel manager, and trying to avoid pricing errors. The system was not only inefficient but also unsustainable. "Manual work led to frequent mistakes, and we knew we were leaving money on the table, especially in high season."

The Trigger

Carlos knew something had to change. “My life revolved around pricing strategy, but the hotel couldn't justify hiring a full-time revenue manager,” he says. That's when a former colleague, Harley Araújo, now part of the RoomPriceGenie team, recommended a solution.

Whether at home or in the hotel, he can make real-time decisions confidently and with ease. And what about guest reactions? "None," he says. "Guests today understand dynamic pricing—it's the norm now."

The Result

Since implementing RoomPriceGenie in November 2024, Hotel Daniya Denia has seen a significant financial and operational return. Over six months, during the historically low winter season, the hotel increased its Average Daily Rate by €6 without increasing room nights. With around 11,000 room nights sold during that time, this equates to 66,000€ in additional revenue, with minimal added effort.

By the end of 2025, those gains added up to €675,000 in additional revenue.

This performance came without hiring a revenue manager and with far less time invested in pricing. Carlos now spends just 10 minutes a day managing rates instead of the 30+ hours per month he previously dedicated. "The time I save using RoomPriceGenie justifies the solution's cost on its own," he says. "It's like the system is paying my salary.”
