Bayview Beachfront Apartments

Adam Henke manages Bayview Beachfront Apartments, one of four properties he looks after in Byron Bay. He's been in town about 18 months, and he's happy to tell you why he loves it. "I can roll out of bed, run to the beach, have a swim, then I'm in the shower within one minute."

Adam used to check his rates by hand once or twice a day and adjust them himself. "It's just so terribly time consuming." Price too low and you leave money on the table. Price too high and your apartments sit empty. Adam wanted something better than a best guess, because in his words, "hope is not a strategy."

RoomPriceGenie now watches the Byron Bay market for Adam and moves his rates up or down to match demand. He no longer spends every morning second-guessing his prices. "It saves me heaps of time, so much time." That's why he has since put it into several of the other properties he manages.

La solution

The RoomPriceGenie team built Adam's setup, connected it to Resly for him, and ran a training session so his pricing matched how he wanted to run the business. "It was just sort of created like magic." When he has a question now, he gets a real person. "Somebody will pick up the phone and I can definitely get hold of somebody when I want to."

Seven or eight months in, Adam could see a clear difference against the year before. His apartment owners noticed it too. "They've even questioned me, what's going on? How do you do this?"

At one of his Byron properties, Adam now earns about $120 more per room, per night. "That's unheard of in the industry," he says. "It pays for itself."
