Toby & Charlie’s Journey…

Back in 2017, Brothers Charlie and Toby Guest set out to prove affordable doesn’t have to be boring. Never overpriced, never bland. Your Apartment is for the modern traveller, in neighbourhoods you’ll want to explore. Curated design and tech-driven serviced apartments that feel like home – whether you’re staying for a night, a week or a year…

But with this promise comes a requirement to ensure our pricing is always working favourably for our customers and our brand. With a vibrant portfolio of 130 serviced apartments in Bristol under our belt, we were struggling to find an adequate means to managing our rates.

Our strategy was always to start off at our lead in rate which we wanted for each apartment and then lower prices closer to the time based on occupancy levels. However, this was very time consuming and, in some cases, didn’t always work in our favour.

After scheduling trial runs with a handful of revenue managers, it was clear that finding a system which worked for serviced accommodation was going to be more of challenge than initially thought. We discovered RoomPriceGenie who ticked many of boxes and the flexible, can do approach from Marvin and team gave us the confidence to sign up.

Marvin and Mimoza were great help throughout the setup process and still to date, they are very hands on and rectify any issues almost immediately.

I find the system very straight forward and easy to tweak/change rates. It is also very intuitive which I like. I feel the prices the system is producing is strong.

Overall using RoomPriceGenie has been hugely proactive for us as a growing business. It saves massive amounts of time each day and we’ve had excellent revenue results so far. We can honestly say it has saved 7-9 hours per week, allowing the system to do the work. Although not necessary to do each day, we do tweak the rates daily. The ease of the system allows us to do this with a couple of clicks.

Overall, it’s been a really worthwhile partnership and I’m sure we will continue to use RoomPriceGenie for a long time to come.
