Glossaire Revenue Management

Durée minimale du séjour

Définition

Minimum Length of Stay is a stay restriction that sets the minimum number of nights a guest must book in order to complete a reservation for a specific arrival date. Reservations that do not meet this minimum requirement will not be accepted. It’s commonly used to maximize revenue over periods of high demand by prioritizing longer, more profitable stays.

Comment l'utiliser

By enforcing a minimum length of stay, hoteliers can ensure that rooms are filled for longer durations during peak demand, improving occupancy efficiency and reducing the cost of frequent room turnovers.

Formule

Though rule-based, the concept is: Reservation Accepted if: Length of Stay ≥ Min LOS
