Strictly Business

I am the Chief Commercial Officer.
The last 1.5 years I’ve been responsible for the Marketing & Sales at RoomRaccoon, a Hotel Management System. This is a SaaS company in the same industry as RoomPriceGenie. Before that I worked in various commercial jobs as an account manager and business developer.
The RoomPriceGenie solution is special in my view because it focuses on independent hoteliers and thus serves a target group that is not served by other RMSs. In addition, the system is super sophisticated and yet very accessible and easy to use.
For independent hoteliers, it’s difficult to find clear and relevant information on the added value of an automated revenue management system for their property. As a result, they are reluctant and sometimes even fearful of handing over their room pricing. My responsibility is to inform and convince these hoteliers of the added value of RoomPriceGenie by means of (automated) communication, with the objective of growing our organization.
My most favourite thing about working in hospitality tech is that there’s still so much ground to cover and a gigantic group of hoteliers to convince of the added value of integrating technology into their business. This brings me to my least favourite thing. Which is when I can’t convince them.

A little more…

Work hard, play hard, ambition, fun, positivity and fail fast, learn fast.
Enthusiastic, motivating and crazy (in a positive way haha).
To not worry too much about things you cannot influence or change.
Life’s what happens to you, while you’re busy making other plans… Because most people, including me, try to plan their life, career and relationships but eventually things always work out differently than you expected. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Sports (tennis, speed cycling), having a beer with friends, gaming or cooking.
